AUCET 2016 registrations begin: Application procedure and exam details

The registration process for AUCET (Andhra University Common Entrance Test) has commenced. The exam will be conducted by the university for aspirants interested to get an admission into several Arts, Science, Engineering and Law programmes offered at Andhra University campus, Visakhapatnam, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University (BRAU), Srikakulam, P.G. Centres and affiliated colleges of BRAU & AU offering PG programmes.

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification:


Those interested in applying should have completed their graduation from a recognised university with 50 percent marks. The candidates, who are in the final year of their graduation, are also eligible to apply. Those who have acquired a Bachelor's degree by distance education without 10 plus 2 plus 3 pattern can too apply, subject to submission of residence certificate.

Paper pattern

Time: The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes.

Total questions: The paper will consist of total 100 questions, with four alternative answers (a, b, c, d).

The 90 questions are divided into three parts, viz, A,B & C. Part A contains 40 questions(40 marks); Part B contains 30 questions (30 marks) and Part C contains 20 questions (20 marks).

Negative marking: For every incorrect answer 1/4 mark will be deducted.

Application fee:


Application registration and processing fee of Rs 500 may be paid through SBI I-Collect/ Andhra Bank(billdesk)/ payment Gateway (credit/debit card).

Important dates

The last date for submission of online Applications is April 16.

The last date for submission of online applications with late fee of Rs 1000 is April 25.

The hall tickets can be downloaded from May 2.

The entrance tests will commence from May 5.
